How to set a limit on Activities

In this  article,  we will explain how to add a limit to an activity. An Activity can be anything such as a workshop, a session etc. 


You can set 2 types of limited for any activity: 

  1. Set a limit on the total number of users who can join an activity 
  2. Set a limit on the total number of users per type who can join an activity

How to set a limit on the total number of users who can join an activity

1- Click on the event agenda 

2- Click on the relevant activity or session 

3- Click on the "attendees limit"; from the dropdown list select "limited"

4- Click on the "Max Attendees" and input the max number of attendees you would like to join this particular activity. 

5 - To save; click on "edit session"

Set a limit on the total number of users per type who can join an activity

You can also apply a filter of how many users per type can join a particular activity. Whether you have a limit or not for an activity; you can set this function. 

1- Click on the event agenda 

2- Click on the relevant activity or session 

3- Click on the "attendees limit"; from the dropdown list you can either select "limited" or "unlimited" 

4- Click on the "set a limit"

5- Select the relevant "Attendee category" & "Limited Entity Category"; whether is a data type or Group and set the number

  • Attendee Category: This section is about whether a "thing" has an "Attendee" or a "Speaker" nature 
  • Limited Entity Category: In this section from the dropdown list you can select whether you are putting a limit for a data "Type" or "Group"
  • Limited entity Name: In this section, you select for what type within your "Attendee" or "Speaker" category; you would like to set a lmit
  • Max attendees: Following the step above; you input Max number of the "data type" within the "attendee category" that you would like to be able to join the session.
