Exporting your team’s event data from the event platform (desktop only)

Team members (exhibitors or sponsors) can export various types of engagement data from the event platform via the Teams area on the desktop web version. This article explains how to export contacts (converted from leads), scheduled meetings and session check-in data.

Important: Full exports functionality is available on the desktop web platform. 

This article is intended for event participants who have access to the Teams section of the event platform (typically exhibitors or sponsors). The exports described here include data your team has collected during the event.

Tip: When contacting support, always include the full event name. The availability of export features depends on how the event is configured.

What You Can Export

As a team member with access to My Team, you can export:

  1. Contacts – Connections, meeting participants, and badge scans

  2. Meetings – All accepted meetings involving your team

  3. Session Check-Ins – Badge scan data from your sponsored sessions

Understanding the Contacts Export

The Contacts Export gives you a .csv or .xlsx file of all individuals who interacted with your team.

What’s Included
  • Connections – Participants who connected with your team

  • Meetings – scheduled meetings with team members

  • Badge Scans – Leads collected from badge scanning


The fields included in the export are:
Connections &  Meetings Badge Scans

Contact Stage Contact Stage

Source Contact data type
  Contact details including email and phone number*)
  Lead notes and scores

 

Email & Phone Number are included only if:

  • A team member scanned the contact’s badge.
  • The contact chose to share their details publicly or with their connections.

 

How to Export Contacts

  1. Log in to event platform on desktop.

  2. Click Teams (top right).

  3. Go to My Team > Export.

  4. Under Export Contacts, choose your preferred file type (.csv or .xlsx).

  5. Click Download once the file is generated.

 

Understanding the Meetings Export

  • The Meetings Export allows anyone who has access to the Grip Teams to get a spreadsheet file of all of the meetings that were scheduled with someone linked to the Team
  • The purpose of the meeting export is to understand where and when different meetings are taking place
  • The meeting export can also be used to to populate your CRM system
  • The fields included in the export are:

How to export your Meetings

1. Once logged in, click on Teams, on the top right of the login page

2. Under the Teams section > Settings click on 'Export'

3. Under Export Meetings, click on 'Click to Generate CSV', once to generate the file and another time to 'Download'

4. Once downloaded, the file can be viewed

Understanding the Session Check-In Export

  • The Session Check-in Export allows anyone who has access to the Grip Teams to get a CSV file of all of the session check-in scans that were made on-site.
  • The purpose of the session check-in export is to generate records of all event participants who have attended the sponsored sessions.
  • The fields included in the export are:

How do you export Session Check-Ins as a file?

  1. Once logged in, click on Teams, on the top right of the login page

FAQs

Q: Will the export show all my meetings?

A: The export will show meetings with the status of 'Accepted'.


Q: Where is the personal contact information?

A: In order to respect everyone's privacy as well as remain GDPR compliant we do not automatically share personal contact information (Email and Phone Number). For more information about contact sharing, read this article. The only time that a user's contact information will be included in the export is if the contact came through badge scanning.


Q: How can I export all my scheduled meetings into my personal calendar?

A: To do this you can use Calendar Sync functionality available on ‘My Schedule’. 


Q: How can I schedule meetings for my teammates?

Q: What does "swiped" mean in the export?
A: "Swiped" means that someone has shown interest in another participant. It's the same as "shown interest," but uses different wording in the export file.

Q: If I have added additional languages to the platform, will the exports be visible in other languages too?

A: Yes. For multi-lingual events, all language variants of custom fields will be included in exports.
