Once configured, essential test purchases must be made to ensure payment processing is working correctly. In this article, we are going to learn about **Stripe Account Setup**. This integration allows the platform to process transactions from attendees purchasing tickets and ensures that the money is received in your associated bank account. Completing this step is necessary before the registration system can go live.   #### Before you begin configuring Stripe Before starting should put their event into ‘test mode’ and use test cards for testing: [https://docs.stripe.com/testing?locale=en-GB](https://docs.stripe.com/testing?locale=en-GB) Before completing the Stripe integration, you must **verify the bank details** associated with the Stripe account. Additionally, it is recommended to fully complete the email setup and **test the entire registration flow** (ordering a ticket and receiving the confirmation email) *before* you finalize the Stripe integration. Once you have enabled Stripe in Grip Manage, follow the steps that Stripe advises on setting it up. After configuring Stripe, click ‘Add Custom Webhook’ to ensure Grip can receive payment callbacks for transactions made directly in Stripe.     ### Setting up Stripe Invoicing in Grip Manage Stripe invoicing will let you generate invoices post purchase for any customers that require an itemized document to claim business expenses. NOTE: If you want to use Stripe Invoicing in Grip Manage please ask your Grip contact for this feature to be activated for your events. 1. 1. Go to the Stripe integration tab in your event settings. 2. Fill in your organisation's billing details (this is your registered business info that will appear on every invoice you issue). 3. For the "registered address country" field, make sure you enter it in the correct format. The form doesn't currently validate this, but an incorrect format will cause invoice generation to fail. 4. That's it on your side. When an attendee registers and pays, they'll see a "buying for a company" checkbox at the payment step. If they tick it, they'll fill in their own company and tax details, which get added to the invoice automatically. 5. Pending transactions and Awaiting Payment registrations Registrations that have not yet completed payment will appear with an Awaiting Payment status. You can view these in the dashboard alongside confirmed registrations, giving you a clear picture of incomplete orders without needing to cross-reference Stripe separately. 3D Secure (3DS) payments Grip Manage supports reliable 3DS payment fulfilment. When a buyer is directed through a 3DS authentication step, their registration and payment status will update correctly once authentication is complete. You do not need to take any additional action for 3DS payments to process. Stripe metadata and reconciliation Payments processed through Grip Manage are mapped to Stripe with clear metadata, making it easier to reconcile transactions in your Stripe dashboard or financial reporting tools. Each transaction carries consistent identifiers that align with registration records in Grip Manage. Note: If you notice a registration that remains in Awaiting Payment status for an extended period, check the Stripe dashboard to confirm whether the payment was abandoned, declined, or is still processing through 3DS.   #### Frequently Asked Questions **Q: What happens if the Stripe account is not configured?** A: If the Stripe account is not configured, the platform will not be able to process payments for ticket purchases.   **Q: Do I need to test the Stripe integration before launch?** A: Yes, testing is required. You should perform one or two test purchases to confirm that the money is successfully received in your Stripe account   **Q: Can I see the status of payments that haven't completed yet?** A: Yes.
