In this article, we will guide you through the process of deleting your account and data from our system on either Web or Mobile app.
Introduction
Please note that this action is irreversible and will result in the permanent removal of your account and associated information from our system. Make sure you are absolutely certain about this decision before proceeding.
Before you begin:
Your event credentials (username and password) should be readily available.
Web Networking
To delete your account using Web Networking app please follow the steps below:
Step 1: Log in
Start by opening the Event webpage and log in using your credentials.
Step 2: Navigate to the "Edit profile" Page
Once you are logged in, you should be on the Homepage. Look for the "Edit profile" link in the dropdown after hovering over your profile picture.
Step 3: Navigate to the "Account Settings" page
Once you are on the "Edit profile" page, on the left hand side you will see the "Account Settings" page
Step 4: Click on the "Delete my account" button
Clicking on this button will show a new popup that would prompt you to confirm account deletion action.
Step 5: Enter your password to confirm deleting the account
Only once you enter your password you will be able to confirm account deletion. Your account and all associated data will be permanently deleted from our system, this can take up to 7 days to process. You will also be automatically logged out.
Mobile App
To delete your account using our Mobile App, please follow the steps below:
Step 1: Log in
Start by launching your event app and log in using your app credentials.
Step 2: Navigate to the "More" Screen
Once you are logged in, you should be on the Homepage. Look for the "More" option in the app's navigation bar. It is represented by the three lines on the bottom right corner of the screen.
Step 3: Scroll to the Bottom
On the "More" screen, scroll all the way down to the bottom of the screen. This is where you'll find the option to delete your account.
Step 4: Locate the "Delete Account" Button
At the bottom of the "More" screen, you will find the "Delete Account" button. Tap on this button to initiate the account deletion process.
Step 5: Confirmation Popup
After tapping the "Delete Account" button, a new popup will appear on your screen. This popup is designed to confirm that you indeed want to delete your account and all associated data. Read the instructions and confirm your intention.
Step 6: Account Deletion
Once you confirm your decision, the app will initiate the account deletion process. Your account and all associated data will be permanently deleted from our system, this can take up to 7 days to process. You will also be automatically logged out of the app.
Important Notes:
- Please be aware that account deletion is irreversible. Once your account and data are deleted, they cannot be recovered.
- Deleting your account will remove all your app-related information, including your profile, saved data, and any associated content.
- If you however do delete your account by accident, feel free to reach out to the Event Organiser about creating a new profile, this however will not restore any connections you have made or record any previous activity.
