Write the question itself in the 'Question Title' field 2\. Select the Type of a question - Dropdown -\> Answer will be a single selected value (values defined in the 'Options' tab) - Multiple choice -\> Answer can have 1+ selected values  (values defined in the 'Options' tab) ![Screenshot 2025-10-16 at 16.14.43](https://support.grip.events/hs-fs/hubfs/Screenshot%202025-10-16%20at%2016.14.43.png?width=670&height=381&name=Screenshot%202025-10-16%20at%2016.14.43.png) - Defining values scopes and structures the answers, but if you want to still give flexibility to the attendee, tick the 'Allows Other' so an additional answer can be added in a form of free text.  - Text -\> Answer will be in a form of free text.  - Image Upload -\> Answer will be an image (in a format defined by you in 'Add constraint' options. You can also configure this field to be public or private). **Constraints** are very important to configure correctly and precisely, if the registration data that includes images is being fed into Grip Engage or any other data system. Make sure you pre-check file format, image dimensions, and file size, etc before defining constraints in Grip Manage.  ![Screenshot 2026-04-02 at 10.41.34](https://support.grip.events/hs-fs/hubfs/Screenshot%202026-04-02%20at%2010.41.34.png?width=670&height=346&name=Screenshot%202026-04-02%20at%2010.41.34.png) #### **Linking Attribute Values to Registration Question Options** #### You can link custom attribute values directly to registration question answers. When an attendee selects a specific option, Grip Manage automatically assigns the corresponding attribute value to their profile. #### **How to configure it:** 1. Go to **Registration \> Settings \> Questions** and open a question (Dropdown or Multiple Choice type). 2. Open the **Options** tab and select an option. 3. Use the **Attribute** picker to choose the attribute and value to assign when this option is selected. 4. The form will prevent invalid configurations. - **Cross-question conflicts:** two questions cannot both set the same attribute. The form will surface this conflict so you can resolve it before saving. ### **Segmentation of questions** **There are two ways of segmenting the registration forms that display a question:** **1. Ticket types** You can decide whether you want to display the question for all Ticket Types in use, or you can choose which Ticket Types should be answering this question. **2. Attributes** You can also segment questions to be displayed to only a few attributes.  Please note: Selecting specific attributes will show this question only on registration forms accessed through attribute-specific registration URLs. ![Screenshot 2026-04-02 at 10.43.26](https://support.grip.events/hs-fs/hubfs/Screenshot%202026-04-02%20at%2010.43.26.png?width=670&height=344&name=Screenshot%202026-04-02%20at%2010.43.26.png) ### **Configuring questions that depend on other questions** You may notice that every question you configure comes with an additional option to make it dependable on another question and answer to that question. Meaning that, in the example below, anyone who responds to 'Is your startup currently fundraising? with 'Yes - Actively Fundraising', an additional question 'Would you like to take part in our dedicated Investor/Startup meeting programme?' will appear in the registration. **![Screenshot 2025-10-28 at 13.58.09](https://support.grip.events/hs-fs/hubfs/Screenshot%202025-10-28%20at%2013.58.09.png?width=670&height=392&name=Screenshot%202025-10-28%20at%2013.58.09.png)** This is a great way to structure the registration and customize the flow for each important attendee segment of your event.
