[Grip Manage - Registration](https://support.grip.events/grip-manage?hsLang=en#grip-manage-registration) # How to use Event Attributes on Grip Manage ## This article explains how to use Event Attributes on Grip Manage to segment your signups. Event Attributes are a way to group, allocate and track your signups with internal 'attributes' that are not visible to the Signup holder themselves.  Use cases are for example: 1. Tracking people with special needs  2. Tracking VIPs that need to be assigned a special badge 3. Tracking special access to certain areas at the event --- ### How to configure Event Attributes  Event attributes are configured by going to: 1. Settings > Event Settings > Registration (left hand navigation bar) > Event Attributes 2. Booleans, which are effectively checkboxes, and multiple-choice, which will be shown as a dropdown on the record. Through a unique registration link 2. Based on a registration question answer 3. Manually from the admin interface **Assigning an Attribute based on the Registration Link** To assign an attribute based on the registration link, use the 'quick copy registration link' feature on the Manage Event Attributes page. Select the ticket type, and click on the attributes that you want to see being automatically assigned to the registration.  ![](https://support.grip.events/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Mar-21-2025-03-54-02-0916-PM.png?width=688&height=80&name=image-png-Mar-21-2025-03-54-02-0916-PM.png) Now copy the registration link.
