How to use LQT (List Query Tool) in your event for exhibitor outreach?
Configure access pools, utilize registration data for visibility, and manage targeted participant outreach campaigns using LQT.
The List Query Tool (LQT) is a product integrated within Grip Manage used primarily to segment participants or signups for exhibitor and sponsor outreach.
LQT allows users, such as exhibitors or sponsors, to select specific profiles from a designated pool of attendees. Configuration begins in the admin interface under Event Settings and the specific settings of the event. LQT manages various user permissions, including email sending limits, unmasking features, and list sizes, ensuring targeted and controlled engagement.
In this article, we will cover the following:
- Understanding LQT and Segmentation
- Before you begin configuring LQT
- How do you use/configure LQT features?
- Managing Lists and Emails
Understanding LQT and Segmentation LQT is crucial for enabling sponsors to find the people they want to invite to dedicated activations by making collected registration data visible as configurable columns. It operates by segmenting the pool of participants based on specific criteria defined by the organizer.
Before you begin configuring LQT LQT configuration starts on the homepage under event settings and the settings of the event.
- Enable LQT: Navigate to the event settings, settings, and select the LQT type to enable the feature.
- Assign Domains and Sync Passes: You must assign the correct email domain and determine which specific passes will sync with the LQT product. The selection of passes (based on ticket type, such as visitors or VIPs, potentially excluding speakers) defines the pool of profiles that LQT users can pick from. This sync determination can be different for LQT Email versus LQT Meet access; for example, LQT Meet might be less restrictive if the purpose is outreach like giving a coffee voucher or gift bag.
- Create Pools (Permissions): Pools are created to define the precise set of permissions users will have. Permissions governed by pools include:
- Maximum size of lists that can be created.
- Enabling email features (e.g., creating, editing, deleting, sending templates, sending test emails, and access to the email dashboard).
- Enabling the unmask feature.
- Configure Visible Columns: Organizers configure which collected registration data, such as product categories of interest, will be displayed as columns within LQT. This allows LQT users to effectively find the profiles they seek.
How do you use/configure LQT features? Once LQT is configured and pools are defined, users must be assigned access:
- Assign Users to Pools: Under the "users" step, assign individual users to the pool templates you have created. This action grants them access to the specific features (like email and Meet) defined by that pool.
- Access and Select Profiles: When logged in as an LQT user, you will see a list of profiles from which you can select.
- Unmask Profiles: The user can select a profile and unmask them, provided this feature is enabled in their assigned pool.
- View Dashboard: The LQT user can view the LQ dashboard, which displays information such as "match" and "is Meet". Note that LQ in this context stands for Email.
- Create Lists: Users can create multiple lists for targeted outreach. Examples include lists like 'invite to speaking session', 'my gift bag list', or 'my coffee voucher list'.
- Manage Emails: The email management section is where the user creates emails they wish to send out, and these emails will be sent once configured.
