How do I integrate Hubspot and Grip Manage?

Connect your HubSpot pipeline to Grip for seamless sponsorship management.

Overview: The HubSpot integration provides a two-way synchronisation between HubSpot and Grip Manage, primarily focused on sponsors (companies), deals (sponsorships), and contact information.
It enables operations teams to manage sponsorship pipelines inside HubSpot and have those changes reflect almost instantly in Manage through webhook usage. Conversely, changes in Manage can also be synced back to HubSpot via the integration services.

Before you begin configuring the Hubspot integration

Please note: You must create your pipelines in HubSpot first before attempting to configure the integration in Grip Manage. The integration requires an existing pipeline to sync with.

Ensure you have:
  • Administrative access to your HubSpot account to authorize app installations.
  • Access to Event Settings within Grip Manage.
  • A clear idea of which HubSpot Deal Stages should match which Grip Sponsorship Statuses.
To understand how your data will move, keep these key terms in mind:
HubSpot Deal = Grip Sponsorship
HubSpot Company = Grip Sponsor

How to configure the Hubspot integration?

2. Install App & Sync Pipelines

Before enabling the integration, you need to connect the integration between Grip Manage and Hubspot. This is done by clicking the button "Install" next to "Install App & Sync Pipelines".
Doing so will open a new tab to connect to your Hubspot account:

2.1. Connect to your Hubspot Account: Select which account you want to connect to from your Husbpot screen.

2.2. You will be prompted to authorize the connection. Follow the steps to grant permissions for the system to access your HubSpot data.

3. Select the pipeline and mapping

Once authorized, you must tell the webhook which specific sales pipeline to track.

3.1. In the configuration settings, find the Pipeline selection tool.

3.2. Choose the specific HubSpot pipeline you wish to sync (e.g., "2025 Sponsorships" or "Partners").

4. Map Your Statuses (Stage Mapping)

To ensure the systems are aligned, you must map your HubSpot Deal Stages to Grip Sponsorship Statuses.

4.1. Navigate to the Stage Mapping section.

4.2. You will see your HubSpot stages on the left (e.g., "Negotiation," "Closed Won").

4.3. Select the corresponding Grip status for each stage (e.g., "In Review," "Confirmed").

Tip: Correct mapping ensures that when a sales rep moves a deal to "Closed Won" in HubSpot, the sponsor is automatically marked as "Confirmed" in Grip.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I sync contact information? You can sync company contact information.

How quickly do updates happen? Updates happen in real-time. The system uses webhooks to ensure that changes to deal stages, properties, or creation/deletion of deals are reflected almost instantly.

Do I need a separate pipeline for Grip? It is recommended. You must select a specific pipeline during configuration, so having a dedicated pipeline for your event sponsorships (e.g., "Event26 Sponsorship") helps keep your data organized.
