Integrations with LiveBuzz
A Native Integration between LiveBuzz and Grip is available for Registration (Participant) data.
In this guide we will cover :
If you have already set up a successful connection within the Grip dashboard, and are ready to complete the integration, we recommend reading the primary Native Integration guide.
Getting LiveBuzz API credentials
To connect to LiveBuzz, you will need the below credentials, and to whitelist IP addresses :
- API Key
- Event base URL
Q. Where can I find these credentials?
- First pick an event to enter
- Then Go to the Account you used to login with on the top right of the screen and click on "API Documentation"
- In Account Settings you can click on the blue text under API key and it will be revealed
- Underneath Account settings is "HTTP request config & rate limiting" where you can retrieve the Base URL.
Q. Why do I need to whitelist IP addresses?
A. Some registration providers, including Visit by GES and LiveBuzz require you add IP addresses that are being used for an integration to an allowlist, this is for security reasons. Below are the 3 IP addresses that Grip use, that you will need to whitelist.
52.18.247.78
34.253.163.181
34.243.38.165
If you are unsure how to do this, please reach out to your Livebuzz contact.
Connecting to LiveBuzz
This section will provide steps on how to connect to Livebuzz. This section assumes that you have already configured API access, have credentials ready, and have whiltelisted Grips IP addresses.
When would I use this?
These steps should be taken as your first step to configuring a Native Integration with Visit.
How do I use this?
Connect to Livebuzz.
1. Click 'Connect' on the Livebuzz integration block. This will be for the attendee data. If you need to map to multiple data types in Grip, you will need to create multiple instances.
2. This will open a new window, where you will need to input your Visit API Key and base URL. If you are connecting to multiple events in LiveBuzz, you will need an individual instance for each, with its own base URL.
3.
3. Selecting the source data. Click the down arrow next to “Select data type(s)”. This will present a list of the different Registrant types in your Visit Event. Select which types you want to import, and identify which type in Grip this should be directed too.
Note: Multiple Registrant types can be selected, however they can only be imported to one data type in Grip. If you require multiple types, each will need its own integration.
4. Under the section 'Only retrieve records that were created within the following period', select one of the two options:
-
- 'From the last time Grip successfully retrieved records' is the recommended option for integration that will be scheduled to run repeatedly. This will look for any new or updated records.
- From a specific time period. This may be useful for one time updates, or if there is a set date range records need to be imported from,
4. This has now connected the Visit Event to the Grip event, click next and move onto filtering and data mapping.

FAQs
Q. Are parent/child custom profile fields supported?
A. Due to how Livebuzz format the data for parent/child fields, it is not currently possible to import the values in a supported format within the Native Integration wizard. If your event requires this data, please reach out to your Grip point of contact who will be able to advise on the available options
